Strange Patterns

I saw this strange marking on so many pillars inside #airavatesvaratemple I can’t understand this patterns. outer circles look like snakes but I don’t know what design inside this circle 😐 please explain this patterns?

Theory:

We see so many humanoid creatures in indian ancient temples called Nagas(upper body human and lower body snake in Indian ancient temples. In the picture most of the carving has outer layer snake in the ring, inside we can see some strange patterns.

Nagas is the alien scientist who changed the DNA pattern to develop the humans from stone age begins to civilization.
